I am a 17 year old guy, and I am very satisfied with my skin other than a few moles and dark brown freckles that are the same color as moles. I've been reading up on what I can do about the dark brown freckles. I am skeptical about skin lightening creams, but I have read that TCA peels will be a good option for me. I would probably start with something light like a 12 or 12.5. Now, before putting it on my face I want to experiment with it behind my ear where the dark freckles are most predominant to see if it actually works before I put it on my face. I've read areas like chest, and arms ect. scar much more easily than the face. Does this apply to skin behind my ears? Will TCA peels even help for my problem of dark brown freckles that are the same color as moles? Also, any recommendations on what percentage of peel I should use if 12/12.5 isn't right for me and what brand?

As for the dark brown freckles on my face, I have one near the corner of my eye on my nose, and I am not sure if it is safe to use there. I can pull it apart and put vaseline or something between the corner and the freckle to prevent peeling.

Is there any recommendations for sunscreen I should use? I am looking for possibly two different sunscreens, one for my face and neck, and one on my arms. Reading into skin care, I want to start taking care of my skin at an early age, but I don't want some super smelly sunscreen or any sunscreen that is going to smell for that matter.

Lastly, has anyone had any moles removed? I'm having a few removed at the dermatologist next week and I am a little nervous about scarring which I forgot to ask her about. I think she is actually a Physician's Assistant but I like her much more than the actual Dermatologist that owns the practice because she has done a much better job than him and I get the sense that she cares more than him about my problems. Anyways, she said the procedure is short and simple, she is going to numb them and shave them. Is there anything I can do to prevent scarring.

This is a very lengthy post, but I would greatly appreciate anybody's help on these subjects.

Thank you
