I can't address your exact issue with the apicoectomy, but I had a double extraction last month that resulted in ongoing numbness in the area of the extraction (and bottom lip as well), and a similar "mushy" feeling. It could be that that the nerve that runs below your lower molar was irritated/inflamed. unfortunately, I think your dentist is right: it's just a waiting game.... (1 replies)
