Certainly get it checked out by a dentist to make sure nothing did get damaged and to check to see if you do have a cavity forming on that other tooth (or perhaps a chip in the tooth's enamel) but just like every other part of the body - teeth can be subject to trauma and bruising as well and assuming no real damage has been done (like a hairline fracture) it may take several...
