... Have you followed up with the oral surgeon or the endodontist about the abscess? have an updated xray to see if the abscess is gone? If not, I would suggest calling the endodontist to do that for you. Also sometimes roots can be close to the nerves in the jaw and it could have been affected during removal, or getting local anesthetic. Your neurologist could be correct that it... (1 replies)

If it is one of your back teeth then having to prop your jaw open for so long will cause your jaw to ache. Make sure your jaw was not displaced by the pressure of them stretching your mouth open. ...
