Your sugar levels are too high. Non-diabetic fasting should be 70-110 and 2 hours after a meal it should be 120 or less.

Please have the doctor do a "glucose tolerance test" on you to be sure what the problem is.

However, having said the above, it may take a while for the sugar level to stabalize after being on predisone. Your doctor will be better able to advise you.

In the meantime, try and avoid sweet tea and reduce number of carbs, especially starches.

Thanks for the reply Marie. I guess I was hoping someone would tell me that I'm in the "borderline" area of diabetes and still have a chance to prevent it by losing weight and exercising.

I also have a bad cold right now and wonder if it will also elevate blood sugar.
