I was 6-3 and 150lbs for years. The way to gain wait isn't easy as people think, unless you just want to become fat. You need to start a 6 meal a day regiment. With eating at least 1 gram of protein per pound you weigh. MINIMUM 1 Gram per Pound. Get some Myoplex, you can use that and a small healthy snack for a meal or two. Example day
It provides 2,440 calories, 234g of protein, 182g of carbs and 81g of fat:
8am -- Meal 1
Myoplex, 1 tsp flaxseed oil
432 calories, 42g of protein, 25g of carbs, 14g of fat
11pm -- Meal 2
4 Whole Eggs w/ 1 cup of hash browns
440 calories, 28g of protein, 36g of carbs, 20g of fat
2pm -- Meal 3
6 oz. chicken breast with 1/2 cup of rice
319 calories, 50g of protein, 23g of carbs, 7g of fat
5pm -- Meal 4
4 whole eggs in a flour tortilla w/salsa
367 calories, 24g of protein, 17g of carbs, 20g of fat
8pm -- Meal 5
Myoplex, 1tsp flaxseed oil
432 calories, 42g of protein, 25g of carbs, 14g of fat
8pm -- Meal 6
6 oz grilled tuna with large baked potato, 1 cup of veggies
450 calories, 48g of protein, 56g of carbs, 6g of fat

Now for the MOST important part. Excercise. If you ate like this you'd gain a lot of weight, and a lot of fat. If you want to gain muscle you must work out. I recommend working out three times a week with weights. Max lifting in short sets. You must force your body to build muscle. So lift as much as you can for 5-7 reps, and how many ever sets you are comfortable with. And you should lift for an hour, with ONLY three minute rest between reps. Keep you muscles active. And only focus on certain muscle groups a day. Example

Day one, Chest, shoulders and triceps

Day two, Legs and abs

Day three, Back, and Bicep

Now the third thing you must do. Sumppliments. Yes, you need to take vitamins. And I reccomend Creatine, and glutamine. You don't need to loa up and the creatine like the label says, but make sure you drink plenty of water when you take some. I take a liter per pill. For vitamins, take a multi vitamin, and vitamin C, and even vitamin E.

If you follow these steps you'll gain 20-30 pounds in three months.
