| Hummus is a wonderful source of delicious animal protein but it IS highish in fat and calories so not a dieter's dream. I even add about a Tbsp of olive oil and some extra toasted sesame seed oil to mine (2 cans of chickpeas at a time...that fills my Cuisineart.)
Of course, it MUST be eaten with hot pita bread.
It is also a great way to get COPIOUS amounts of soluble fiber...which is a delight to our colons.
You talked me into it...it will be dinner tomorrow. |
