I just finished the P90X workout program... it was pretty intense. I wanted to gain muscle hoping that I could put on weight that way (as well as get myself into better shape)... I ended up losing 2 pounds over the course of it, but I did gain quite a bit of muscle mass which might contribute to why it's been so hard for me to gain it back now. I've cut out the cardio workouts and am just doing the yoga video and the weight training ones three times a week.

I have no idea how many calories I eat in a day. I'm not very good at keeping track... but I'm sure it's over 1200. For example... on any given day I will eat a bowl of fruit with a 1/2 cup of yogurt and some granola for breakfast, or an english muffin with peanut butter... a sandwich for lunch (ham or turkey on good bread with mayo cheese, hummus, avocado, lettus...etc with pita chips or carrots and cottage cheese on the side) and dinner totally varies but I always have some kind of dessert too so it all has to add up especially when you add in the protein shakes... Plus every once in a while I will eat a cheeseburger with onion rings or a greasy pizza. I don't totally restrict myself although I do try and keep it as healthy as possible for the long term.

I do have very low blood pressure, although I don't think I've ever gotten my cholesterol checked. I've been anemic and have a history of poor blood circulation. My thyroid is fine as far as the last time I checked about a year ago. Don't know what any of that has to do with it... except that maybe I could benefit from adding more red meat into my diet as well? For the iron and creatine (to help bulk up) as long as I keep my cholesterol in check.
