... If you're looking out for sufites/nitrates, remember "no added nitrates" doesn't mean nitrate free. Most "no-added" brands list celery powder or celery juice as an ingredient, celery is naturally high in nitrate. Almost all deli meats have some level of sulfites so it's a no-no for me but I've heard Boars Head is a good additive/preservative free brand. They have a list... (6 replies)

... I've heard that sandwich meats are generally healthy as long as they are low in fat and in sodium. Some have a lot of sodium in them, so watch for that.
