... I thought I had read a few places that alcohol and caffeine were not good after gallbladder surgery b/c they can cause problems, like fats. That was the only reason I was trying give up coffee. I don't drink any sodas, so the only caffeine I get is from 1-2 cups in the morning. Not much, but I didn't know if that was giving my tummy some troubles. (4 replies)

I was told gas travels there so if it is gas that is causing your stomach pains, it would make sense that your shoulder blade would hurt as well since gas also travels there. ... I thought for sure that this was the reason I had these symptoms. After meeting with two surgeons, both agreed that there was no correlation between my symtoms and GB disease. And removing the GB would not alleviate my symotoms. ... (10 replies)
