... Hi there...still fighting some sever back pain due in part (the doctor's believe) to a slipped disc, and was given a new meds. I was given oxycodone 500/7.5 Is this a usual dosage for oxycodone? ... Tolerance and addiction are not the same thing, though they may go hand-in-hand. Usually when tolerance develops the doc increases the dose or changes you to a different class of opioid. Some opioids have a max amount you can take, others don't. I read about a guy on another board who was on 2000 mg of morphine a day.:eek: (2 replies)
