... Thank you for the advice doone56. I am now on post-op day 18 and I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I hurt when I talk to much or eat things that are too rough but other than that I am doing pretty darn good. ... Hi everybody! I'm glad I've found ppl going through the same thing here, since I don't know anybody who's done tonsillectomy as an adult. I'm 25 and had mine out 2 months ago. I've got taste disorder, especially when it comes to sweets and fizzy drinks - everything is bitter or tasteless. (Some of my taste has recovered, but not for sweet).
