OMG, as I read your original post, I felt as though I could have been writing it myself. I lost a good 15 pounds in a couple months back at the beginning of 2001 (just in time for me to be on Wheel of Fortune, so good thing since the camera adds 10 lbs :) ) I would eat a bagel around 10am, then a banana around 12 and have a small snack of crackers around 2pm, then have a chicken breast or frozen veggies for dinner... hmmm, wonder why I lost weight. ;)

The first thing you have to do is control what you buy at the store. If it's not in your house, you can't eat it. This is the hardest thing, for me at least. Second, what I have started doing is trying not to be at home as much. You can't binge when you aren't there. Third, I try to brush my teeth often. I am a freak about clean teeth, so if I eat, I know I'll have to brush them again, and that can get pretty tiring. Fourth, you can put up pictures or post it notes that will remind you each time you go to grab that cookie or ice cream that it isn't worth it! That is what I try to tell myself... Is this cookie worth the emotional trauma it is going to cause me??

Don't know if that helps, but I think after listening to you, we could have been separated at birth! (well, except I'm a couple years older than you :) )
