Water retention after b/p for a few days

Hi, i am new here have had bulimia on and off for about 9 months. It seems like when i do b/p i gain about 10 to fifteen pounds, rather than just behaving myself and not binging at all. I assume that its water weight. Anyone else have this problem? if so how long does it take to go away?
