Sore throat

I recently found that my throat is scratchy and burning after purging. Is this from acids, or from my fingers being stuck down there? I only throw up a tiny bit though, so I don't know if acids still come up with a minor amount of purging. Is this normal, and will it go away as my throat toughens up?

Sorry if I sound ignorant. I know the physical dangers of purging, this is more just curiosity as to the specific reasons.
