I don't know about you guys, but I am so tired of the comment, "Why don't you just eat?" as if it were that easy. I do not know how to respond sometimes.
Why we cannot "just eat":
1. We have a distorted body image and feel like we need to lose weight.
2. Our bodies often are not used to food and reject it.
3. We feel fat after we eat.
4. Eating disorders often have complicated underlying issues that need to be addressed first.
