I think even if I stopped the bad behavior for the rest of my life starting now at the age of 30 and I die at 80, never making my self sick, I will still have been a bulimic all those years. ... ... Therapy did not work for me. I know people say that therapy takes a long time before you see any results...and that if you "don't think" about your disorder that you are just "avoiding it" but I really felt that talking about it DID make me worse. ... I really feel for you. Firstly I want you to know things can get better. I was a secret bulimic for 6 yrs. It started when I went to university I guess because I had freedom and saw it as a chance to make me feel better about myself as I was bullied about my weight at high school. ... (2 replies)
