... It sounds like Sleep Paralysis. Look that up. I get the same thing- when I'm falling asleep or just waking up, my body vibrates, I have ringing in my ears, and I can't move at all. I have to concentrate really hard to try to move a finger or a toe in order to snap out of it. When I read about Sleep Paralysis, it said it is common to also have hallucinations during them, like... ... Sounds like sleep paralysis. You can google it to get more info. But I've gotten the same thing every once in a while for years. I'll wake up with my body vibrating and my ears ringing, and I can't move at all. I can only breath shallowly and blink my eyes. I have to try sooooo hard to move something, usually a pinky finger or a toe, so that I will snap out of it. If I don't... (6 replies)
... This sounds a lot like Sleep Paralysis. Do your ears ring when you get these episodes? I started having episodes like this about 10 years ago. I'll wake up from a dream, and my whole body is buzzing, my ears are ringing, and sometimes I have trouble breathing correctly because my chest feels like it's constricting. ... Well, it was both. Some was shaking, but most was rhythmic jerking. My wife tells me that it looks more like 'seizure shaking' than 'shivering shaking'. Since that happened, I went to the ER. I had lost about 2 hours of memory, which is unusual for me, and had a GM seizure. ER visit showedall meds ok, nothing out of the ordinary. I continue to believe that such episodes are...
