For a couple years now I've had to switch over to 80% eliptical because of horrible shin splints. I've got great shoes in Asics Nimbus vii, and I do plenty of leg stretches before running, but I still can only get by with a couple miles every 3 or 4 days. I remember getting them a bit when I was younger, but now they are HORRIBLE, to the point where if I dont stop running in time, I would surely fall off the treadmill not being able to stand up. THe pain is not only in front, but feels like a 360 degree vice from ankle to knee.

As I said in the topic, it is not stretching, my shoes are great, it has to be something more serious. Any ideas?
