Everything I've read or heard says that to gain muscle, along with eating the right foods and working out, you also need plenty of rest and need to eat a high protein meal every few hours. From my own experience, this certainly works. I know that when I don't eat frequent meals, I tend to lose muscle pretty easily. But how is it that guys in prison are able to bulk up? They don't get 6 meals a day. And I can't imagine they ever get a good night's sleep. And what about construction workers. These guys are doing heavy lifting all day long and they also are leaving long gaps between meals. How is that they're able to stay muscular?

I would love to put on some more muscle, but the struggle for me is that I'm not able to eat all the food that's required. There are days where it's just not possible.
