Too much protein won't lead to fat gain. Too many calories will. If you can fit it into the calorie allotment for that meal, then absolutely toss some in because getting enough protein is important. But if it makes the shake into the equivelant of a huge meal, skip it. Soy milk and yogurt both have some protein, so there's no need to make the smoothie unhealthy in the end. :)
