I suffer from what you call "skinny fat syndrome". I am 5'5", and weigh only 105 lbs. If you see me in a hot pair of jeans, I look pretty good! But when those jeans come off.... GROSS! My upper body is great, good arms, tight stomach.

My lower body; BUTT AND LEGS are really gross. It's a bowl of cellulite soft jello, divits, cottage cheese, my kids poke it and say look at it jiggle. I would never be caught dead in high shorts.

I started exercising April 1st. I don't want to lose any weight. I exercise 5 days a week: 30 min. cardio 4 days a week, 20 to 30 min. strength/toning with weights, lunges, squats, lifts, etc. 4 days a week, and 1 day/60 min. full body strength training.

I noticed results on the arms and tummy...of course... they aren't really bad at all.

But I notice NOTHING on the thighs or butt... still a bowl of jiggle. My pants are looser so I know I've shed some here but no tightening of anything as Jillian Michael's DVD promised?

What do I need to do? Should I assume because this area for me was so out of shape to begin with it'll take more time? It's been about 12 weeks. I want to keep cardio in my routine for heart health purposes... but 5 days of weight toning strengthening... is it enough?

Why am I a not seeing toning results in the darn legs and butt?

Now it's June... and although in clothes I look damn good... I will not let people see the cottage cheese legs!:confused:

I don't know about [B]Sarasota[/B], but I can keep up my treadmill exercise for an hour. I generally vacillate between a 4.5 and 4.2 rate and use a pretty steep incline. I'm looking to burn both fat and calories. Fat because of my legs and calories because I refuse to go any lower cal and healthy with my diet than I currently am.

I also doubt that I'll ever enjoy myself exercising. It's more of a chore than a fun experience.
