... The leg machine builds and tones the legs but running just tones them. Take a look at runners they are really thin and IMO have hardly any muscle. They have several different leg machines. You can do free weight leg exercises too. Different machines work the glutes, hamstrings, quads, calf, inner and outer thighs where running can't work all those muslces indiviually (sp) ...
