Husband just had his 2nd RE Zoom lens implanted yesterday and he's not complaining. He mentioned halos last night but not today. He has been taking an incredible supplement OCUVITE PRESER VISION. They completed a ten year study on it which showed it improves macular degeneration.
So today he went in to have his eye surgery looked at and the doctor , puzzled, said his macular degen. was GONE. "What have you been taking?" he asked. "Ocuvite Preser Vision" my husband said. He also takes bitter melon 3 times a day. One eye is 20/20; the new one is 20/40. :D
So is this product, "Ocuvite Preser Vision" easy to find? I haven't ever seen it anywhere that I know of. Will google it.

The Bitter Melon I'm sure is available at health food stores. You said 3 times a day, both things? Approximately how long had he been taking them? Since the last eye doctor appointment, evidently, about 3 months?

So Dry AMD can now be treated. They used to tell us we have to wait until it's Wet AMD.

Editing to add that a web search showed that it contains the same ingredients as I think my I-Caps contain, Lutein and Zinc, but maybe in greater proportions. Does your husband have an Amsler Grid, to check his MD daily? If not, one can be found on the web and printed out. It's probably much too soon to be checking his just-operated eye, but the other one.

One reason I'm asking, my retina specialist says the Amsler Grid being all messed up just means I have too much scarring, meaning a Vitrectomy later, that I just couldn't see the scars before. Also that the Vitreous is clumping up, a bit of dry eye, really doesn't bother me.

I get distracted and didn't think to ask her why it's worse later in the day when I'm tired, much better mornings. And if my vision would get much better without the scarring. I hear it's worse for a while after a vitrectomy, as it is even with a capsulotomy.

GOT IT OFF THE INTERNET BUT CAN'T RECALL WHERE EVEN THOUGH HE HAS HAD IT LESS THAN TEN DAYS! IT IS VERY NEW. VERY HIGH IN VIT A.

HE TAKES THE PRESER VISION 2X DAILY, THE BITTER MELON ONCE DAILY. MY VISION IS FINE BUT I TAKE THE BITTER MELON TOO BECAUSE THEY'RE LOOKING AT IT'S POSSIBILITIES WITH HIV AND HEART DISEASE BUT SO FAR ONLY PROVEN WITH HIGH GLUCOSE LEVELS IN TYPE 2. SO I FIGURE IT'S JUST PLAIN GOOD FOR YOU. HE HAS TAKEN BITTER MELON FOR A FEW WKS. NOT A MONTH.

AMD IS NORMALLY IRREVERSIBLE. HIS WAS IN THE INITIAL STAGES AND FEW KNOW ABOUT THE PRESER VISION. I READ NOT TO TAKE IT UNLESS YOU HAVE MAC. DEG. HAS 35MG ZINC.

NO AND HIS EYES ARE DOING WELL. HE WAS ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES.

MANY PEOPLE GET A YAG AFTER LENS IMPLANTS. I MADE SURE HE TOOK HIS EYEDROPS EACH 2 HRS FOLLOWING IMPLANTATIONS.

ALL I KNOW IS THAT MY DAD AT 88 HAD CATARACT SURGERY AND IT WAS WORSE FOR A WEEK OR SO THEN I DON'T KNOW HOW IT CAME OUT. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, THESE SURGERIES WORK OUT BETTER IF YOU'RE YOUNGER WHEN YOU HAVE THEM? I AM POSITIVE THE OCUVITE PRESER VISION WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON IN STORES. COULD BE ALREADY AND YOU'VE NOT FOUND THE RIGHT STORE?
