Hi all,

I have been experiencing foot pain for two years after developing a stress fracture while training for a race. The pain persisted, and one year after the stress fracture, I was diagnosed with tarsal coalition. I had a resection surgery done, but the pain remained the same.

A few months ago, I was diagnosed with anterior tarsal tunnel, which is like tarsal tunnel, but involves the deep peroneal nerve. I had surgery 6 weeks ago, and the nerve was severely scarred down by scar tissue. As of now, my foot feels the same, if not a little worse, than before the surgery. My pain mostly is a constant achy pain that is there regardless of what I am doing (even at rest). The pain does increase with activity, especially standing.

Has anyone had surgery for anterior tarsal tunnel? What was your experience on recovery time.

Thanks!

MJ
