... Brian, sorry to hear about your accident and that you ended up with an ankle fusion. I can only speak to the subject of fusion from when I had a big toe fused in March '04. It take awhile for the swelling to go down. Face it, your ankle suffered a lot of trauma. ... (3 replies)

... Kathy, Yes, I did have PT, but he never had me bending just the big toe. He showed me ankle strengthening with a band, and gait training, pool work, etc. I think I'm going to sit and practice bending the toe as exercise a few times a day.
