... he screws in. Sometimes they loosen move and cause pain. My surgeon as most Im sure dont want to remove them unless they are causing a problem. He told me after 8 weeks the screws purpose is fufilled. Having them removed can be viewed as unecessary if there are no problems. ... (4 replies)

... That is pretty common to have that burning sensation. I still get it occasionally 8 weeks post-op and have put it down to nerve re-growth. You will feel better with the new dressing, they should be lighter and cause less pressure. (240 replies)

I have a permanent screw (very small from the look of the x-ray) and when I started the ROM exercises I don't think the bone was fused yet, but I wasn't putting any pressure on that site.
