Sorry to scare you.But they say as long as you have a qualified Doctor you'll be fine.But I will tell you it is a long recovery.I have never heard of a disolving pin.All of my surgeries that required hardware had to be manually or surgically removed. ...'s like the carpentry "Z" slicing of the metatarsal, then they slide it over, put screws on each end and trim off the extra bone of the outer side.
