Infected corn?

... The 2nd toe on my right foot has (what I think) a corn on the top of the toe. It now looks red and inflamed on the bottom and yellow on top. It is very painful and I can hardly walk in a normal shoe. Do corns get infected? What can the doctor do for this? Should I be on an antibiotic?
