He came back to me and told me that the sides of my toenails had grown around to the back of my toes on both feet. Only on my big toes. ... Hi There!!! This is a old thread, but I thought that I should respond to it. I had 4 ingrown toe nail infections before, and I had to see the foot doctor for them. I had them both on my big toes on both feet. I had half of my toe nail removed, and it never came back again, it was great. Also when I had my toe nail infections, they hurt like hell and I couldn't wear tennis... (2 replies)

... try this again...following a 5 mile walk, i developed blisters on the tops of both of my big toes. after about a week, the blister spread down around both toenails (the toenails are more thank likely involved as well). one became so large that i did drain it, but the fluid keeps returning and the toe has become painful as well. ... If you had the whole nail removed, as I assume you have, there's no good "fake" nail to replace it. Again assuming you are male, then you wont care that once the skin is completely healed, you can paint the nail, just like the rest of them.
