You need to try to keep your GPA up at or above 3.6 to get into a really good school because GPA does have a good amount of weight on whether you get in or not. I hope this helps some. ... ... If you're unable to keep the minimum GPA for the pre-med prerequisites, don't worry! Maybe you won't get into med school, but you can most certainly continue in the medical field. There's tons of jobs out there for people that are interested in medicine, and not all of them require medical school. :D Do you like art? ... i absolutely agree with everyone. bad high school grades wont keep you from doing what you want in the medical field.but you will have to keep on top of it from here out. i dropped out of high school. got a ged. then decided to do the medical thing. did the Army,OCS-with some community college credit. then got a into a flight medic position. flew medical evacuation for a few... ... If not, maybe you should consider going to medical field in the military and take off from there. You will learn A LOT of skills that are legal but are not practiced or allowed in civilian life. Again, they are legal but within the military. (9 replies)
