... I was very skinny at that age too and decided to go to the gym and do weight training (body building) I gained 25 pounds (in all the right places) and I did not even drank any protein shakes. If you do body building routines you will gain pounds, if you dont then you are not doing it correctly. If you keep increasing the weight you lift your muscle HAS to expand. I have to say... ... my son is 14 and weighs 105....he will be 15 in November....he is 5'3"....how tall are you? You are thin now because you are prob getting taller...this age does a lot of growing and you will be happier thinner than heavier...........be happy you're not fat!!! (7 replies)

... hey just chill man i was really small until high school and now i am 6ft 185 and i have a problem gaining weight but lift and that helps. What you want to do is lift at school with a partner and do some sets with 18 reps and make sure its challenging for you. well good luck. (7 replies)

... I agree that weight training is a good idea. You might also want to add a martial art. If you get the right one, they will tell you how to eat properly. Believe it or not, not all martial artist are vegetarian. My son's Sifu encourages him to eat organic meats, especially beef. (7 replies)

... You can eat more to gain weight, but then you might just end up adding fat. What you really need is exercise to gain some muscle, not to mention you will feel better about yourself and will be healthier. Heavy weight training might not be good at your age, but you can probably do a little bit, ask your gym teacher how much is safe and get some advice on how to lift weights... (7 replies)

... I have to say that at your age, lifting weights is not the best idea because your bones are still growing and your bone plates have not fused yet. Just stay active as a boy your age should, and start lifting in a couple years. Try to sneak in calories where you can. This sounds weird, but look up nutrition tips for cancer patients.
