This has gotten worse in the last week or so, and it's driving me insane!

I have been getting a great deal of pressure lately in my left ear. Seems like when pressure exists, if I inhale through my nose, the pressure intensifies, then as I exhale, it is relieved. However, if I breath through my mouth, the pressure is there, but does not intensify when I breath in.

Any ideas what the heck this is?
hi,
did your pressure, crackling and fluttering ever go away?
i could be related to that,
i know you were dxed with hydrops, i have the same symptoms but was dxed with myoclonus....surgery to sever the tendons has helped.
Hi Lib,

The pressure does eventually go away. I usually can just sort of force air through and it will be okay. Just that at this time, I can't get the pressure to go away for a while.

Thanks for your reply. As for my prev. diagnosis with Hydrops, I don't have the cracking and popping sensations anymore. After the prescription of VertigoHeel, that eliminated it. I have read that there is no cure for Hydrops, only things to help ease the issue. So I may have been misdiagnosed. It's so hard to say, symptoms in the ear can lead to so many different possibilities.
great!
how long did you have the crackling and popping?
what was the popping like?
i think it might all be related.

Lib,

I had it for about 2 years and it just got worse and worse. Just about anything at a certain decibel level or higher would cause a crackling/popping. It was a lot like hearing a speaker that was going out on the high end.

Very frustrating, but if I listened to music really loud, it drowned out the annoying cracks and pops of my ear and I couldn't hear it. Was sort of a relief to be able to listen to a song, except that I didn't like it being very loud.

VertigoHeel did not help or show really any improvements until after a complete month lapsed. And it was odd, it just stopped doing it suddenly within about two days.

I am so sorry to hear you have Myoclonus. Have you been able to to receive treatment to fix this?

What have you done with regards to the pops and cracks in your ear?
