I have pulsating tinnintus only on my right ear due to ETD. I went to the doctor back in February and was told that my right ear was retracted and the noises that I was hearing was due to the ETD, he put me on Allegra D but it seemed to make the pressure and all of the popping noises worse. Well I went back to the doctor today and he said my ear is still retracted and he wanted me to use a nasal spray twice a day and see if this helps. I was just wondering if anyone else sufferes from ETD? My symptoms are constant ear pressure, I'm always opening my mouth to pop my ears, etc., etc. Also when I bend over or move my head in a certain direction I hear the pulsating noise (only in right ear) and If I push real hard to move something, etc., etc., I hear a rushing sound. It is driving me crazy!!!! Anyone have any advise?
I've had ETD for a couple of years, and I have had a different diagnosis from pretty much every doctor. A "specialist" even said that nothing was wrond, and gave me some nasal spray to humor me. I tried naturopathic, but thst didn't work either.
Currently, I am taking claritin twice a day. The Doctor that I most recently saw that this should clear up the EDT in a couple of months. I have been doing this for 2 weks now, and it seems to be helping a bit.
If this doesn't work, I might try prednisone.
I've had Eustachian tube problems for as long as I can remember. It wasn't until I saw my ENT regarding another issue I was having with my ears that he recommended I take 10 mg of Zyrtec for the ear popping. So far, it's working like a charm.
