I'm in my early 30's and recently went to a hearing test purely as a check-up (haven't been told or noticed any sort of hearing loss)

The results puzzled the doc - at 4khz, I'm only able to hear from my right ear at 70 decibels which is abnormal at my age. My left ear is fine. He suggested this may be due to some firecracker or loud sound or injury but I've not had any. I'm going for an ABS soon but what are the reasons that can be causing this? Any sort of lump pressing down on a nerve?
