... Similar to what I had, the loud sounds will be worrisome for quite awhile. They get better with time but it takes time. Also it took my brain awhile to adjust to the sounds, at first I had difficulty understanding speech but as time went by it greatly improved. Dr "B" is a "rock star!!" ... days post op now. Still waiting to hear properly. Everything in my operated ear is higher pitched, softer, muffled, tinnitus still there and ear fullness feeling is still there. I do still get some dull pain once in a while too from the surgery. I swear at times I can feel the prosthetic in my ear! ... (21 replies)
