... Could it be your sinuses are draining because you are lying down? My ears as I said before run my life. Perhaps it is the eardrum doing it as fluid either passes by or whatever, but if it is so loud as to wake you up, I would find a specialist who deals with sleep apnea - maybe they would have a grip on what type of things your ears can do to interrupt sleep.
