... Through earaches (i guess), I developed the skill to pop my ears. I don't have to go through pretend motions like swallowing, chewing, or yawning... I can just do the popping (by moving my jaw bone in position, opening my mouth, and doing some funky, hard to describe thing with my tongue). ... Tally, See if someone can teach you to gently inflate and deflate your middle ears. It involves holding your nose closed and very very gently inflating and popping your eardrums out a bit...then sucking back to deflate. Don't do it with a cold. ... okie gal, The sense of pressure is usually caused by a pressure inbalance between outer and middle ears. This is most often caused by a blocked eustacian tube from a throat infection (like a cold). It can be worse if the middle ear fills with pus from a more serious middle ear infection.
