... i've got the solution! my physio tried something which i was staggered to find...worked! it was related to the muscles in my neck. they were very stiff and lacked side to side movement he first started to apply pressure to the tendons/muscles, etc (it's a sort of sharp pain) and you hold it there until it eases. then repeat. also, you have to move your head/neck...
