... Hi Hope you're hearing's improving. Did your ENT tell you the reason for the steriod medication? I'm guessing it's for swelling, I was re-admitted to hospital & had intravenous steroids in an attempt to reduce my swelling post-stapedectomy. I think steroids generally do help reduce the swelling but one of the side affects I had from them was an increase in the tinnitis... (41 replies)
