... I just had my CO2 Laser Stapedotomy today. My doctor has done hundreds of these operations and said he has never seen what I had. Apparently the sclerotic bone was growing between the legs of the stapes and footplate/oval window was much smaller than normal. :nono: He had to drill away allot of the "mutated" bone to make room for the prosthesis.
