| my boyfriend is a Hepititis B carrier since birth.... i am worry that will i be contacting his HBV by sharing food and by kissing since i am aware that HBV can be transmitted thru fluid and saliva.... however i am vaccinated from Hep B virus since young.. my question is would i still have the possibility of contacting HBV from my boyfriend by simply kissing??? pls advice. The vaccine should protect you. If you are the very very nervous type and want to be absolutely sure that the vaccine "took" and that you are immune, your doctor--any regular gp or clinic--can test for hep b and its antibodies. one tube of blood, a few bucks, a few days wait, and you will know for sure. If you are indeed immune--as I bet you are--you can relax. You are not, then, at risk.
