Re: Hep B
Feb 11, 2006
Hepatitis B is spread thru bodily fluids, i.e. sexual contact, sharing utensils. For almost 10 years now the Hep B vaccination has been on the schedule for all children and its especially important that adolescents be vaccinated. Starting this year, children will also be vaccinated for Hep A. If you havent been vaccinated, you might consider a vaccine called Twinrix which is a Hep A & B combination vaccine and requires three shots, just like the single Hep B vaccination would. Hep A is usually contracted thru contaminated food. (usually someone handling the food usually didnt wash their hands properlly after using the bathroom) IF you become infected with Hep B, YOU can spread it thru oral sex.
