Hey guys,

I posted a thread in HIV prevention a few weeks ago about my concerns of catching HIV.
http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=875950

So Long story short. I had protected sex with a prostitute and then 2 days later I developed a very low grade fever and sore throat which have become more mild after 3 months of time. One thing important is that those symptoms have lasted for months. I took a HIV test on my 12 weeks and it is negative but my symptoms are still there. So I am quite concerned now if the symptoms are due to Hep. C.

I have heard that Hep C is a much more infectious virus than HIV. There is something that really bothers me. After having sex with the prostitute and washing myself, I used the towel(seemed to be used) provided by her to dry myself up. I recall that she was just having a period and I wasn't able to see if the towel was clean or not when she handed me the towel. The towel looked different than the other clean towels. More shockingly is that I had a few open wounds on my back due to acne. I am just wondering if my chance of catching Hep. C is high based on the common knowledge of transmission of this virus.

When should I get tested to be 100% conclusive about not having this virus?
