... Hi there, You may want to check with Roche Patient Assistance Program. Another Hepper gave me the information and I qualified for my meds (Pegasys and Copegus) free. However, they do not pay for any of your tests or other meds. The main meds Pegasys/Copegus are the more expensive and it is a relief for me. Otherwise, I couldn't have started treatments and I do have... (5 replies)
... The reason they didn't try it sooner is that iron supplementation is usually considered to be contraindicated in hep cases, or at least, is approached with great caution. Iron may or may not accelerate fibrosis, and may or may not work against your tx. Erythropoietin other meds to increase red cell count are often tried first, and reduction in dosage of the riba is also often... (9 replies)

... Next month, I begin the Pegasys/Copegus treatments for my hep c. I am opting for treatment despite the fact my disease is mild right now (fibrosis 1, grade 2 inflammation). First, I haven't had children yet and don't want to pass this on to them when I do. Second, I don't want my liver to get any worse--better to treat now while the disease is mild. I am young and don't... (4 replies)
... Neil Where DID you go? Northern ON, PQ, YK, or NT/Nunavut? Bears are fun, aren't they? It is interesting how people cling on to the guide thinking you know what to do, but you are sometimes just as scared as them. Probably not you, though. You are inspiring me to get out there again. Home has almost become too comfortable again. (7 replies)

The first few symptoms of Acute Renal Failure can be peri-orbital puffiness (i.e. swelling/puffiness around the eyes), high coloured urine, decreased urine output, nausea, dizziness etc etc. If you are taking Cap/Tab.
