I wanted to mention as others have. An anti-inflammatory medication (for inflammation) really does help. In my case it didn't matter because I have been on several different ones for 13 yrs.
Also try cold gel packs(stores in freezer) on your knees. They have been a Godsend for me. I've had a hard time locating this in stores so I got a large(8x16) one by mail order 5 yrs ago...cost was only 19.95 plus SH,. I just sent away for 2 more...not bad a 27.00 investment that lasted me 5 yrs.[/COLOR]

Or i use a bag of frozen corn or peas works great and only cost me 99cents :)
