Knee problems?

I suffer from hypermobility and a connective tissue disorder and am becoming increasingly concerned about my knees. They just somehow feel fragile and if I kneel on them they make a strange sort of "clicking" sound. There is no pain however.

I am wondering if there is anythng I can do proactively or is it a case of wait until something happens (though hopefully it won't).
