You need to get back on prescription pain meds.
Hi Gater... Boy do I agree with you... yikes at no pain meds... tomorrow will be my 5th month anniversary... I can't believe it ... and I still have my little pink pleasure pills (darvocets) they work perfect for the days that I have done a little too much. AND.. I think you really need something for those bad nights that we all have.

Doing pretty well actually, some days are better than others.. but realized yesterday I could get in hubby's car now without having to go butt first..lol.
Went shopping yesterday for four hours... that's alot of walking... but wasn't horrible after we got home.. tolerable.

Doing tons of squats when I think about it and stretch in the shower and let the warm water hit the back of my knee... funny it still looks bigger than my other one... but it's not warm anymore like it use to be.

Can't wait to get in the pool... that is a for sure thing... some of you that do water exercises need to let me know what ones you do.. I've never done them before.

Still procrastinating about doing more exercise... told me boss the other day.. you get cocky after you can do things that you couldn't before and think I'm all better but inside my feeble little brain I'm thinking .. god what a slacker you are...

Oh.. one other question for you guys that went in about the same time I did.. Oct. 15. I noticed the other day when I was sitting on the sofa and when you flex your knee do you all hear like a crunching sound... doesn't hurt.. it just makes a noise and after you flex your knee a bunch of times it goes away.. I'm assuming it's scar tissue crunching around... anyone got a clue?

For all you newbie "bionic club members" Hang in there.. I hate that some of you are having a harder recovery than some of us had. I guess we were just very fortunate. Like I say... I can't believe tomorrow will be 5 mos... it's gone by so fast..

Hope everyone is doing well.. recovering... exercising...(do some for me while I'm being lazy...lol) and icing.. I use to tell my friend.. "google is my friend".. I have changed that to "icing is my best friend"

P.S. I found these really really cool little gel packs.. bought two of them and have them just in my refrigerator in my office at work... they are fantastic.. they get cool so well and I just wrap it around my knee if it's bothering me.. works great...

Will check back later... Need to read back and see how Grumpy is doing..

Just came from "water PT". I start by walking forward and backward for 5-10 min. (The rest can be in any order). Then do side leg lifts for 25 reps; front kicks for 25 reps; Forward long steps to stretch the calves and thighs; Bicycling movement in water for 10 - 15 min; Step up and down on the step in the water (ours is 11 inches); Stand on step and do Squats in the water with both legs; squat on one leg then the other. (Start slowly on this one). Last cool down walking forward and backward for at least another 5 min. It helps if someone is there so you keep talking. The only problem is I sometimes end up doing too much then. But the time goes rapidly.

GOOD LUCK from a double bionic.
