Have i torn my meniscus?

Good Morning Everyone! I am in somewhat of a dilemma. Two weeks ago I was running on the treadmill when a sudden pain in my knee began. The pain is in my left knee on the left outside of the knee. The pain has yet to go away and I saw a doctor last week who ordered an MRI. My dilemma is that, I have not met my deductable with my insurance so the test will cost 500 dollars out of pocket. I dont know if its worth it to go through with the test. My symptoms are:
-Pain while walking (especially up or down stairs/hills) or putting pressure on my left leg
-Popping and clicking in my left knee
-Pressure feeling

For anyone that has had a torn meniscus or knows anything about this, any help would be GREATLY appreciated :)
