... Usta and Anne - Thanks for the replies! I began taking my Mobic faithfully and as quickly as it began that's how quick it's disappeared. I have a feeling it was bursitis; again. Seems that since I had this replacement I now get bouts of bursitis. I didn't go to the doctor; wanted to see if the anti-inflamatories helped and they did. But if it rears it's ugly head again... ... Hi Linda--It's been a long time since we last 'talked'. I agree with the other poster. I get this pain on either side from time to time. It feels like a muscle cramp, and hurts a lot! It is mostly at night, in bed, but happens other times too. I don't think it's your hip, but I don't know what to suggest, other than just working/waiting it out! Anne (5 replies)
... Dear Mrs Linda, This may sound funny but feel your bum where you hurt. Go up at a diagonal and down same way towards your hip. Do you feel any knots in the muscle? Does that muscle feel sore from point a to point b? Did or do you limp? You could have pieraformis syndrome. The largest muscle in your bum can become very upset if your gait is off.
